Shortgowns, chemises, petticoats, waistcoats, breeches, bonnets, pockets, and capes
can all be found Historic Costume. Wool fabric, silk fabric, linen fabric, even osnaburg,
fustian, and cotton fabric are what our items are made of - - you won’t find any
synthetic blends at Historic Costume. Need a Scottish Highland kilt or arisaid? We can
provide you with a breacan-feile (great kilt) or a feile-beag (the modern small kilt) if you
so desire.
We are not your typical online costume store and unlike the majority of Living History
merchants or vendors, we specialize in used costumes. Yes, we have many new items,
but we saw a need in the hobby for good, lightly used costumes. Do you have
costumes tucked away in a chest/closet that you don't wear anymore for one reason or
another? Do you know someone who is getting out of the hobby? We pay CASH for
used costumes, but we have a trade-in policy, too.
And don't forget to look at our Wool Guard page. Protect your woolen items from
those nasty fiber eating moths. If you live in a humid area such as the American
Southeast, then you more than likely have fiber moths. Avoid their damage and stock
up now!
