Lady's 1812 Poke Bonnet

This is a new, never worn straw poke bonnet
in a style popular during the early 19th
century known as the Regency era. Hand
trimmed/stitched with changeable plum/black
taffeta, there is a cluster of fruit and
hydrangea blossoms on the right side. (See
pictures for more detail.) It was made to wear
to Mississinewa 1812, but due to unfortunate
circumstances I was unable to attend. Comes
from a smoke-free home.
