Offered for sale is a NEW ladies 1770's style jacket and/or
coordinating petticoat. The jacket will fit a ladies size 20W.
The jacket was made from a pattern drafted from the original
jacket in the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation's collection and
pictured in Costume Close Up by Linda Baumgarten. It
features elbow length sleeves, hand-sewn eyelets, a short
vented peplum and laces over a matching stomacher. Can be
worn with a bum roll and should be worn with stays. The
fashion fabric is 100% cotton and the lining is 100% linen.
Machine sewn unless otherwise noted.
The NEW petticoat is a beautiful shade of French blue and is
made of mid-weight 100% linen. This petticoat is pleated to a
waistband made of 100% cotton twill tape. There is a central
box pleat front and back with two side openings. The interior
seams are machine sewn, but the side opening plackets are
hand-stitched (see picture). Will fit waist sizes 40" (overlapping
the plackets) to 52". Length is 35". Circumference is 116"
Chemise not included.
